About VESA Fit

VESA Fit answers the two questions people ask when a new TV arrives: what wall mount fits it, and was it the right size for the room. It is an independent site run by a US-based software engineer who has drilled the wrong holes once and would rather nobody else did.

How the site works

Every TV's VESA pattern and weight is read from the manufacturer's own US product page — LG, Samsung, Sony and TCL so far — and each model page links to the page it came from. Where a maker publishes no pattern, the page says so rather than guessing. Viewing distances are geometry from the viewing angles that are widely published (SMPTE's 30° and THX's 40°) and from the 20/20 acuity limit, and the formulas reproduce the reference figures in the cited source. The methodology page lists everything.

Independence

VESA Fit is not affiliated with or endorsed by VESA, LG, Samsung, Sony, TCL, SANUS, SMPTE or THX. Specifications are quoted because the makers publish them openly. See the disclosure.

Corrections

If a pattern or weight is wrong, or a maker has changed its page, email hello@vesafit.com with the model number and a link. Corrections go into the data file and the check date updates with the next build.
