Will the TV fit? Above a fireplace or on a cabinet
Screen size tells you the diagonal of the picture, not the size of the box. These pages use the width, height and depth each maker prints for its TVs — without the stand for a wall above a mantel, with the stand for a cabinet top or an enclosed shelf — so you can compare them with a tape measure.

Each row covers the models at that size whose makers publish both sets of dimensions. Sizes with fewer than three such models are not given a page of their own; their dimensions are on each model's page.

Which dimensions to use
Above a fireplace the TV hangs from a wall mount, so the stand is off and the figures that count are the body's width and height (the space it covers on the wall) and its depth (how far it stands out before the mount adds its own profile). Measure the clear wall between any side obstructions and from the mantel shelf up to the ceiling or the top edge you want.
On a cabinet the TV stands on its own feet, so use the "with stand" figures: the overall width, the height from the cabinet top, and the stand's depth, which must fit on the cabinet top. The spec tables read for this site don't give the spacing of the feet, so treat the cabinet's width as needing to match the TV's.
