Will a 43-inch TV fit your TV cabinet?
Standing on its own feet, every 43-inch TV with a published size here fits a cabinet top 38 in wide and 10 in deep; the narrowest needs only 38 in. If the TV goes into an enclosed shelf, the opening has to be at least 25 in tall for the tallest of them on its stand.

43-inch TVs measured on their stands
The figures are each maker's "with stand" dimensions: overall width, height from the cabinet top to the top of the TV, and the depth of the stand's footprint, which is what has to sit on the cabinet. Sorted narrowest first. 9 other 43-inch models on VESA Fit have no published stand size and are not in this table.

Cabinet width: how many fit
A TV can overhang a cabinet slightly if its feet sit near the middle, but the feet on many sets sit near the ends, and the spec tables read here don't give the distance between them. The safe reading is that the cabinet should be at least as wide as the TV. On that basis:
- A cabinet 38 in wide takes 4 of the 4 43-inch models — all of them.
The narrowest on its stand is the TCL 43Q651G at 37.6 in; the widest is the Vizio VQM43C-1001 at 37.74 in. The next class up, 50-inch, starts at 43.7 in (50-inch on a cabinet).
Depth of the cabinet top
Stand depth runs from 7.3 in on the TCL 43Q651G to 9.38 in on the Vizio VQD43R-1004, a spread of 2.08 in. A shallow media console or a floating shelf is where this bites first: if the cabinet top is shallower than the stand, the feet hang off the front or back edge. In that case the TV belongs on the wall — the wall-size page for 43-inch TVs lists their bodies without the stand, which stand only 2.65–2.89 in deep.
What 43 inches means for furniture
A 43-inch set fits almost anywhere a TV goes: a kitchen counter, a bedroom dresser or a shelf in a bookcase, as long as there is 38 in of width and 10 in of depth for its feet. In a bookcase or wall unit, the height on its stand (23.6–24.34 in) is usually the limit; adjustable shelves can often be moved up a notch to make room.
Height inside a shelf or entertainment centre
On their stands these sets stand 23.6 to 24.34 in tall; the tallest is the Vizio VQM43C-1001 and the shortest the TCL 43Q651G. Fitting the stand adds up to 2.12 in to the tallest body's height, because the feet lift the panel off the cabinet. For an enclosed opening, add a little room above the TV for air and for reaching the buttons and ports, and check the opening's depth too: a closed back panel can stop the feet from sitting where they need to.
