LG OLED65G4SUB VESA pattern and wall-mount specs
LG lists no VESA pattern for this model (wallpaper, transparent or supplied-mount designs use LG's own bracket). It weighs 52.5 lb (23.8 kg) without its stand. Check the manual or measure the holes before buying a mount.
Mount checklist for the OLED65G4SUB
- Weight: 52.5 lb without the stand. Mounts are rated by maximum load; a mount rated 60 lb or more leaves no doubt, and full-motion arms should have more margin than fixed plates because the load sits further from the wall.
- Screws: use the screw length and any spacers the LG manual specifies. Too long can damage the panel; too short strips the insert.
- Wall: fix the mount to studs or masonry with the hardware the mount maker supplies for that wall type.
What that means when you shop
Without a published pattern, the mount choice starts with measuring the TV (below). At 52.5 lb it is a heavy set: plan a two-person lift, fix the mount into at least two studs or into masonry, and pick a mount whose rating leaves clear margin.
Closest in weight among other brands' 65-inch TVs: Sony BRAVIA XR A95L (51.6 lb, Not published); Sony BRAVIA 8 II (50.5 lb, 300 x 300 mm); Sony BRAVIA 5 (54.9 lb, 300 x 300 mm).
LG's other 65-inch models here — C4 OLED evo (300 x 200 mm, 36.6 lb), Gallery TV LX7 Mini LED (400 x 400 mm, 59.3 lb), OLED B4 (300 x 200 mm, 37.7 lb), OLED B5 (300 x 200 mm, 37.7 lb) — all use a different pattern, so check the exact model before buying a mount.
Among LG's 48 models here, this is one of the few without a published pattern. It is a 2024 model that LG still lists; older lines are often discounted, and their mount specs don't change.
How to find the pattern on this TV yourself
- Lay the TV face down on a soft, flat surface, or measure it while it stands.
- Find the four threaded inserts on the back panel — on designs sold with LG's own bracket there may be none, in which case only LG's bracket fits.
- Measure centre to centre between the two top holes in millimetres: that is the first number. Then top to bottom on one side: the second.
- Compare with standard patterns (100 x 100, 200 x 200, 200 x 300, 300 x 200, 400 x 200, 300 x 300, 400 x 300, 400 x 400…). A reading within a few millimetres of one of them is that pattern.
- Note the screw thread from the manual, or test-fit an M6 then M8 screw by hand — never force a screw.

Where to sit
A 65-inch 16:9 screen is 56.7 in wide and 31.9 in tall. It fills the SMPTE 30° view from 8 ft 10 in and THX's 40° cinema view from 6 ft 6 in. At this size 4K looks sharper than 1080p only from 8 ft 5 in or closer; beyond that, 20/20 eyes cannot tell the two apart. The 65-inch size page has the full table and every model at this size.
