Mount checklist for the 85X11L
- Pattern: 600 mm wide by 400 mm high (23.6 x 15.7 in). On a mount's box, both numbers must sit inside its range — "up to 400 x 400" fits smaller TVs, but not this one.
- Standard: a rectangular pattern outside the square Part F table, which is normal for current TVs; screws are usually M6 or M8 at this size, but the manual is the authority.
- Weight: 112.9 lb without the stand. Mounts are rated by maximum load; a mount rated 120 lb or more leaves no doubt, and full-motion arms should have more margin than fixed plates because the load sits further from the wall.
- Screws: use the screw length and any spacers the TCL manual specifies. Too long can damage the panel; too short strips the insert.
- Wall: fix the mount to studs or masonry with the hardware the mount maker supplies for that wall type.
Body size: 74 x 43.5 x 0.8 in
TCL lists the 85X11L at 74 in wide, 43.5 in tall and 0.8 in deep without its stand (188 x 110 cm), and 74 x 45.3 x 15 in on its stand — the stand adds 1.8 in of height and needs a surface 15 in deep. On the wall it stands out 0.8 in plus the mount's own profile. Compare it with every other 85-inch body on the above-a-fireplace and TV-cabinet pages.
What that means when you shop
600 x 400 mm needs a mount sold for large TVs; compact and "up to 400 x 400" mounts will not reach the holes. Large fixed and tilting mounts usually cover it, and most heavy-duty full-motion arms do. At 112.9 lb this is a very heavy set: it needs a heavy-duty mount, fixings into studs or masonry, and three people or a professional installer to lift it safely.
Closest in weight among other brands' 85-inch TVs: Samsung Neo QLED QN990H (118 lb, 600 x 400 mm); Sony BRAVIA 9 II (106.2 lb, 400 x 400 mm); Sony BRAVIA 5 (102 lb, 400 x 400 mm). 1 of them shares this TV's pattern.
TCL's other 85-inch models here — QM6K (600 x 400 mm, 71.8 lb), QM7K (600 x 400 mm, 75.2 lb), QM8K (600 x 500 mm, 85.8 lb), QM7L (600 x 400 mm, 72 lb) — use a mix of patterns, so check the exact model before buying a mount.
Among TCL's 46 models here, 10 use 600 x 400 mm (24%); TCL's most common pattern is 300 x 300 mm. TCL's page doesn't state the model year.

Where to sit
A 85-inch 16:9 screen is 74.1 in wide and 41.7 in tall. It fills the SMPTE 30° view from 11 ft 6 in and THX's 40° cinema view from 8 ft 6 in. At this size 4K looks sharper than 1080p only from 11 ft 1 in or closer; beyond that, 20/20 eyes cannot tell the two apart. The 85-inch size page has the full table and every model at this size.
