Will a 65-inch TV fit your TV cabinet?
Standing on its own feet, every 65-inch TV with a published size here fits a cabinet top 58 in wide and 15 in deep; the narrowest needs only 57 in. If the TV goes into an enclosed shelf, the opening has to be at least 36 in tall for the tallest of them on its stand.

65-inch TVs measured on their stands
The figures are each maker's "with stand" dimensions: overall width, height from the cabinet top to the top of the TV, and the depth of the stand's footprint, which is what has to sit on the cabinet. Sorted narrowest first. 38 other 65-inch models on VESA Fit have no published stand size and are not in this table.

Cabinet width: how many fit
A TV can overhang a cabinet slightly if its feet sit near the middle, but the feet on many sets sit near the ends, and the spec tables read here don't give the distance between them. The safe reading is that the cabinet should be at least as wide as the TV. On that basis:
- A cabinet 57 in wide takes 7 of the 8 65-inch models.
- A cabinet 58 in wide takes 8 of the 8 65-inch models — all of them.
The narrowest on its stand is the TCL 65QM8K at 56.46 in; the widest is the TCL 65A300W at 57.17 in. A cabinet narrower than 57 in suits the 55-inch class instead, whose bodies run 48.2–48.46 in (55-inch on a cabinet). The next class up, 75-inch, starts at 65.2 in (75-inch on a cabinet).
Depth of the cabinet top
Stand depth runs from 12.53 in on the Vizio VQM65C-1004 to 14.5 in on the TCL 65QM8L, a spread of 1.97 in. A shallow media console or a floating shelf is where this bites first: if the cabinet top is shallower than the stand, the feet hang off the front or back edge. In that case the TV belongs on the wall — the wall-size page for 65-inch TVs lists their bodies without the stand, which stand only 1.1–2.91 in deep.
What 65 inches means for furniture
At 65 inches the TV is usually wider than a standard 60-inch media console: every model here is 56.46 in or wider on its stand. A console at least 58 in wide takes them all; on a narrower one the feet may overhang, which only works if they sit inboard on that particular model.
Height inside a shelf or entertainment centre
On their stands these sets stand 33.39 to 35.47 in tall; the tallest is the Vizio VQD65R-1004 and the shortest the TCL 65A300W. Fitting the stand adds up to 2.52 in to the tallest body's height, because the feet lift the panel off the cabinet. For an enclosed opening, add a little room above the TV for air and for reaching the buttons and ports, and check the opening's depth too: a closed back panel can stop the feet from sitting where they need to.
