The TCL 98RM9L — the 98-inch RM9L — uses a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern and weighs 140.4 lb (63.7 kg) without its stand, according to TCL's product page. Any wall mount whose range covers 600 x 400 and is rated for at least 140.4 lb will hold it.

Mount checklist for the 98RM9L
- Pattern: 600 mm wide by 400 mm high (23.6 x 15.7 in). On a mount's box, both numbers must sit inside its range — "up to 400 x 400" fits smaller TVs, but not this one.
- Standard: a rectangular pattern outside the square Part F table, which is normal for current TVs; screws are usually M6 or M8 at this size, but the manual is the authority.
- Weight: 140.4 lb without the stand. Mounts are rated by maximum load; a mount rated 150 lb or more leaves no doubt, and full-motion arms should have more margin than fixed plates because the load sits further from the wall.
- Screws: use the screw length and any spacers the TCL manual specifies. Too long can damage the panel; too short strips the insert.
- Wall: fix the mount to studs or masonry with the hardware the mount maker supplies for that wall type.
Body size: 85.3 x 49.8 x 1.4 in
TCL lists the 98RM9L at 85.3 in wide, 49.8 in tall and 1.4 in deep without its stand (217 x 126 cm), and 85.3 x 50.5 x 16.5 in on its stand — the stand adds 0.7 in of height and needs a surface 16.5 in deep. On the wall it stands out 1.4 in plus the mount's own profile. Compare it with every other 98-inch body on the above-a-fireplace and TV-cabinet pages.
What that means when you shop
600 x 400 mm needs a mount sold for large TVs; compact and "up to 400 x 400" mounts will not reach the holes. Large fixed and tilting mounts usually cover it, and most heavy-duty full-motion arms do. At 140.4 lb this is a very heavy set: it needs a heavy-duty mount, fixings into studs or masonry, and three people or a professional installer to lift it safely.
Closest in weight among other brands' 98-inch TVs: Sony BRAVIA 7 II (137.1 lb, 600 x 400 mm); Samsung Neo QLED QN990F (149.9 lb, 600 x 400 mm); Sony BRAVIA 5 (152.1 lb, 600 x 400 mm). All share this TV's pattern, so a mount chosen for one would fit them too.
TCL's other 98-inch models here — QM6K (600 x 500 mm, 115.3 lb), QM7K (600 x 500 mm, 119.7 lb), QM8K (600 x 500 mm, 121.2 lb), QM7L (600 x 500 mm, 119.7 lb) — use a mix of patterns, so check the exact model before buying a mount.
Among TCL's 46 models here, 10 use 600 x 400 mm (24%); TCL's most common pattern is 300 x 300 mm. TCL's page doesn't state the model year.
Other sizes in the TCL RM9L line
The pattern is not the same across the line: it changes from 600 x 400 mm on the 98" to 1000 x 600 mm on the 115". A mount bought for one size is not automatically right for another.

Where to sit
A 98-inch 16:9 screen is 85.4 in wide and 48 in tall. It fills the SMPTE 30° view from 13 ft 3 in and THX's 40° cinema view from 9 ft 9 in. At this size 4K looks sharper than 1080p only from 12 ft 9 in or closer; beyond that, 20/20 eyes cannot tell the two apart. The 98-inch size page has the full table and every model at this size.
